タンザニアってどんな国？

　日新蜂蜜に就職して数年の私。趣味の旅行でコロナ前に訪れた国は、ヨーロッパがほとんど。まさかタンザニアで新ビジネスを立ち上げに関わるなんて。タンザニアでの養蜂ビジネス立ち上げは言うまでもなく、未知の世界に足を踏み入れることに心踊らされる私。家族や日本の友人にタンザニアに行くことを伝えると、少しの沈黙の後「どこ…？何があるの…？」と聞かれるのがお決まりのパターン。質問者を満足させられる回答ができぬまま早半年。現地在住タンザニア人の協力を得ながら数回に分けてタンザニアについてご紹介します。そして私もちゃっかり渡航前の事前学習を進めていきたいと思います。

　タンザニアは、東アフリカにある国です。東はインド洋に面し、大陸側は、ケニア、ルワンダ、ブルンジ、ザンビア、マラウイ、モザンビークに囲まれています。タンザニアのど真ん中には首都　ドドマが位置し、北東部にはアフリカ最高峰であるキリマンジャロがあります。およそ5973万人の人口のうち、64％近くを24歳以下が占めており、若いエネルギーにあふれた国です。

　100以上の部族がタンザニア各地で暮らしています。各部族は独自の文化的価値観を持っていますが、一般的にタンザニア人は優しく、オープンマインドな性格で知られています。また、スワヒリ語が共通語に用いられており大半の人が使用し、異なる部族間でもコミュニケーションをとることができます。

What is TANZANIA?

It’s been several years since I joined Nisshin Honey. The counties I visited as my hobby of traveling are mainly in Europe. I hardly expected that I would be in the start-up business in TANZANIA. Needless to say, starting up the business in Tanzania, it also has excited me to step in the unknown world. When I tell my family members or Japanese friends, always a little while silence, then asked “where…? What to see…?” It’s already a half year that I have failed to give satisfying answers to them. Now, lucky enough, a Tanzanian living in Tanzania gives me a helping hand to write this blog. First of all, let us make an introduction of Tanzania for several times.  Meanwhile, I’ll learn and prepare to visit! Here we go,

Tanzania is a country found in East Africa bordering the Indian Ocean in the East and 6 countries along the continent side; Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi. The capital city is Dodoma, located at exactly the center of its land. Tanzania is the home to the highest mountain in Africa, MT. Kilimanjaro, in the North-West.  The number of its population is 59.73 million across its land, with 64% of its population being youth under the age of 24.

Tanzania hosts more than 100 tribes in its different regions with different cultural values and norms. Roughly, Tanzanian people are known for their kindness and welcoming attitude. The vast majority of Tanzanians communicate in the same official language, Swahili.
